Let me join you in the comfort of your own home or at a location of your choosing for a fun, family-oriented shoot! Each session will include photos of the whole family as well as individual portraits and shots of people in various combinations. Four-legged family members are welcome!
Once your session has been completed you will receive the password to a beautiful private gallery of all your photos, fully edited, high resolution and unmarked for you to download, print and share without restriction. The minimum is a guaranteed number for a difficult session, but each session, I will give you everything I am happy with and it is typically *significantly* more than the minimum.
Enjoy a comfortable 30 minute session at a location of your choosing. This session is short and sweet. Session includes individual portraits as well as people various combinations. Guaranteed 30+ images.

Take your time during this 60 minute session at a location of your choosing. This session is ideal for newborn portraits, larger families and families with young children who may need wiggle breaks. Guaranteed 60+ images.

Extended family packages are available for $600 and last up to an hour and a half. Guaranteed 80+ photos.

Each session will include photos of the whole family as well as individual portraits and shots of people in various combinations. In a mini session we will get as many shots as we are able in the 30 minutes allotted. A standard session allows for up to an hour (But don't worry, I am not a clock watcher and if we go a bit over, thats ok!)

I'll you everything that has "turned out". Which means I guarantee a minimum number of photos but no maximum. I guarantee a minimum of 30 photos for the mini session and 60 photos for the standard session. (Though it is usually WELL above these numbers.)
Newborn or challenging child? No problem! Being a mom of four myself, I get it! I am not a compulsive clock watcher and do not charge extra if we run a little over. I am breast feeding friendly and flexible. I am very calm and have a plethora of tricks up my sleeve for making party poopers laugh and for settling even the newest of wee ones. Yes, I have even been referred to as "the baby whisperer".
Wear something that makes you comfortable. Try to avoid clothing with logos, wording or busy patterns (Unless you're wearing plaid as an accent for example). You can choose a colour palette for your family to wear instead of having everyone wear exactly the same colour. A mix of neutral colours and different shades of the same colour work nicely as well. A good rule of thumb when choosing an outfit: If you would feel silly wearing something on a regular day, don't wear it for a photo. That includes makeup and hair - don't over do it. If you feel awkward and uncomfortable in your outfit, it could come across in the photos.
Nope! Your gallery is private and you have access to download the full resolution files to print and share however you please without restriction! They're yours!

In the event that you would like extensive editing above and beyond the usual, there would be an additional charge. Some clients request additional edits if they love a particular picture and would like to have background edited, extensive removal of wrinkles and blemishes, or they wish to have someone added or removed, etc.
Yes, gift certificates can be purchased via etransfer. Send me the text as you would like it to appear on the gift certificate (the "to" and "from"). Once this is received I can issue your gift certificate as a digital PDF via email so that you can print it and include it in a physical card OR you can send it to the recipient via email.
To redeem a gift certificate, the recipient can reach out to me whenever they are ready via the contact info provided with the gift certificate and we will find a suitable time and location that works for them.
The hour we spend together is the tip of the iceberg. There is also the hours spent editing your photos. I do my best to go in and clean up any blemishes, soften wrinkles, adjust lighting and remove distracting details. This takes time.
There is also the cost to maintain a photography business: maintenance of gear, vehicle, insurance, website and gallery hosting fees etc.
Lastly, what sets me apart from most other family photographers out there today: I am a formally trained professional, having attended Seneca for Independent Digital Photography. So when you hire me, you're getting natural talent paired with formal training.
Yes! A side project of mine is to restore old photographs. If you can provide a high resolution digital copy or the physical copy of your photo, I can touch it up, removing rips, water damage and wrinkles in a photo. I am also able to add colour to historical black and white photos which is another fascinating hobby of mine! If you have always wanted too see a colour photograph of your great grandparents, I can make it happen if you provide me with some insights so we can make educated guesses with regard to colorisation.
